A magnificent ocean panorama opens up as you round the bend and drive over the hill into the small community of Kilcunda. One of the few vantage points from which to view the ocean along this highway. The 91 m long Kilcunda Bridge over Bourne Creek was built for the Victorian Railways in 1910 to carry coal from the Powlett Coal Fields. It is now protected by the National Trust. It now is a tourist attraction and forms part of the Bass Coast Rail Trail. Once you reach Inverloch the fresh breeze and ocean beaches refresh the spirit.
