Hanging Rock and Macedon Ranges
Hanging Rock, originally named Mount Diogenes, is situated in central Victoria and is also the focus of the mystical novel "Picnic at Hanging Rock" by Joan Lindsay. Regional race meetings are held in the adjacent racecourse twice per year. Mount Macedon is home to the Memorial Cross, considered to be the second most significant war memorial in Victoria, second only to the Shrine of Remembrance. I have chosen not to include a photo of the cross.
