Kakadu - Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls
The Twin Falls is a cascade waterfall on the South Alligator River that descends over the Arnhem Land escarpment within the Kakadu National Park. The Jim Jim Falls is a plunge waterfall on the Jim Jim Creek that descends over the Arnhem Land escarpment. Both falls are registered on the Australian National Heritage List.

Twin Falls Gorge
Due to concern about crocodiles, access to Twin Falls Gorge is now by boat shuttle. Originally by lilo, canoe, or you had to swim. On my first visit a few years' ago, I shared a canoe.

Access to Twin Falls by barge along the deep creek. They leave a walkie-talkie on a rock for you to contact them for a pick-up.

Barge drops you off and leaves the walkie-talkie. Last boat back at 5.00 pm.

Due to crocodiles now inhabiting the area the access is by floating steel pathway (complete with very useful shower along the way). Can be very hot and dusty.
